    Scope

What we take off your desk.

The full set of CRA and provincial obligations most businesses and families carry, run on one calendar by one team.

    Income tax returns

T1 for individuals and sole proprietors, with T2125 and T776 statements; T2 for corporations; T5013 for partnerships and T3 for trusts.

    Instalments

Quarterly personal instalments on March 15, June 15, September 15 and December 15, and monthly or quarterly corporate instalments, calculated on the cheapest CRA option.

    Payroll source deductions

CPP, EI and income tax remitted on your PD7A schedule, T4 slips and Summary by the end of February, and ROEs as they come up.

    GST/HST and provincial sales tax

GST/HST registration once you pass the $30,000 small supplier threshold, returns on your assigned frequency, plus PST in BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and QST in Quebec.

    Information returns

T4A for contractors, T5 for dividends and interest, T5018 for construction subcontractors and T1135 for foreign property over $100,000.

    Provincial obligations

Employer health tax, WSIB and WCB, corporate annual returns, and Revenu Québec filings (TP-1, CO-17, RL slips) for Quebec clients.

    Where people get caught

Three things that cost Canadian filers money.

None of these are obscure. They are just easy to miss when nobody is watching the calendar for you.

June 15 is a filing date, not a payment date

Self-employed people get until June 15 to file, but the balance is due April 30 and interest starts May 1. We estimate it early and get it paid on time.

The $30,000 GST/HST threshold arrives quietly

Once your taxable sales pass $30,000 over four consecutive quarters you must register, and rideshare and taxi drivers must register from their first trip. We watch the number for you.

Salary or dividends is a cash decision

How you pay yourself from a corporation decides your RRSP room, your CPP and how much of your profit you keep. We model it before the year ends, not after.
